Premarital counseling is self-pay only. Insurance does not cover preventive premarital work. Group therapy insurance coverage varies by plan.
A note on couples therapy and insurance: Some insurance plans cover couples therapy; others do not, as coverage often depends on whether a clinical diagnosis is present. I will work with your insurance and submit claims where possible. If your plan determines that couples therapy does not meet their criteria for medical necessity, the session fee becomes your responsibility. I will always be transparent with you about this before we begin.

Licensed in Iowa, Maryland, Virginia, and Hawaii
I am licensed to provide telehealth services to clients located in Iowa, Maryland, Virginia, and Hawaii. Sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms. No special software required.
Complete Confidentiality
Many clients, including executives, senior government officials, diplomats, and others in high-visibility roles, choose to pay privately rather than use their insurance benefits. When you elect private pay, you sign a simple Private Pay Agreement. From that point, no claims are filed, no diagnosis is submitted to any insurer, and your sessions do not appear on any insurance or medical record. Your care stays entirely between you and your clinician.
This option is available to any client regardless of insurance status. Payment by Visa or Mastercard. If discretion matters to you, reach out and we can discuss it directly.
Common Questions
Yes. If your insurance plan is not listed, you may still be able to use out-of-network benefits. I can provide a superbill (itemized receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Contact your insurer to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits before your first session.
Most major insurance plans now cover telehealth therapy at the same rate as in-person sessions. Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask specifically about outpatient mental health telehealth coverage.
Straightforward. You sign a Private Pay Agreement, a simple one-page document stating that you are choosing not to use your insurance benefits for our sessions. That is all. From that point forward, your sessions are entirely self-pay. No claims are filed, no diagnosis is submitted, and nothing appears on your insurance record. Your care stays completely between us. Payment is accepted by Visa or Mastercard.
Visa and Mastercard are accepted for all sessions. Payment is collected securely at the time of service.
I ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full session fee. I understand that life happens. Please reach out as soon as you know you need to reschedule.
Please reach out to discuss your situation. I want therapy to be accessible, and I am happy to have a direct conversation about fees.
I use secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms. You will receive a link before your session. No special software is required. Sessions can be joined from a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Call or send a message — I'm happy to talk through insurance, fees, or anything else.
